Two very disturbing rumors have come out today. The first is that Gary Oldman may have slipped up and stated that the villian for Batman 3 will be the Riddler (wahoo!!); however, Christopher Nolan is not sure if he wants to direct a 3rd Batman. Uh Oh….
The newest rumor on the Hobbit franchise is that James McAvoy (star of Wanted…a really, really good flick) will star as Bilbo Baggins.
The Hobbit will be a two-part film slated to come out in 2010. Produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Guillermo del Toro.
Looks like rumors are soaring! Nothing official yet. It would star Eddie Murphy and directed by Brett Ratner.
Looks like Robert Rodriguez will produce his chick’s (Rose McGowen) newest movie Red Sonja. Remember the original? Like a female Conan…oddly enough with Arnold in the movie. Might be good…might be cheesy…but it might be chessy good. Who knows…
Production begins Fall 2008.
Rumors now say that a prequel to the hit move 300 is in the works…sometimes I fear “they” do not know when to stop and NOT ruin a good thing. But thats just me…
Roman Polanski has added three new cast members to his movie The Ghost: Pierce Brosnan (the ex-prime minister); Nicholas Cage (the writer); and Tilda Swinton (the ex-prime minister’s wife).
AICN says this about the film:
“Cage will star as a ghostwriter hired to complete the memoirs of a British ex-prime minister (Brosnan) when the first author unexpectedly dies. As Cage’s character sifts through the politician’s history, he begins to suspect that the last writer might’ve been murdered after turning up too much scandal, which raises the question: “Why does the prime minister insist on hiring such thorough writers when he could simply farm out his memoirs to a partisan hack?” Therein lies what I believe they call “the mystery”.”
I couldn’t have phrased it better myself…
“Despite Tobey Maguire not really wanting to make Spider-Man 4, Sam Raimi not really wanting to make Spider-Man 4 and an entire planet of people who’ve had enough time and money stolen already not wanting to see Spider-Man 4, Producer Laura Ziskin has announced that Spider-Man 4 will be released in May 2011.” – HecklerSpray.com
According to an interview at Hollywood.com Brandon Routh has said that Superman: Man of Steel will begin filming in 2009. Bryan Singer also returns to direct and Kevin Spacey shows interest in returning as Lex Luthor.
