Bourne 4 and Alien 5?

From FilmSchoolRejects:

Marshall assured us that Bourne 4 would definitely be happening, though at this point the only two people signed on are Marshall himself and writer Chris Nolfi. If things go to plan, a good script will develop that will draw Damon back to he project, despite some resistance to continuing the character.

From FirstShowing:

The science fiction genre has been rather skimpy as of late, with lackluster films like The Day the Earth Stood Still leading the pack. In the Aliens universe, garbage like Aliens vs Predator: Requiem has killed the franchise and left no hope for revival. Well, unless Sigourney Weaver and Ridley Scott return. MTV actually talked with Weaver recently and got some very interesting news out of her. Apparently Scott and her have been talking about making a fifth Aliens movie. “Both of us feel a kind of commitment to that woman. He’s as much responsible for who she is as I am,” she began. “We’d have to go back to the drawing board on [the alien]. Ridley said that right away when we first talked about [a fifth film].” A fifth film?!

Jason Stratham Would Love to be Daredevil

Earlier at Comic-Con while Stratham was advertising Death Race both he and Frank Miller hypothetically contemplated the idea of Stratham as Daredevil. I think it could work better!

Lucas on INDY 5

This is what he says on the subject:

Indiana Jones only becomes complicated when you have another two people saying ‘I want it this way’ and ‘I want it that way’, whereas, when I first did Jones, I just said, ‘We’ll do it this way’ — and that was much easier. But now I have to accommodate everybody, because they are all big, successful guys, too, so it’s a little hard on a practical level.

Really, with the last one, Steven wasn’t that enthusiastic. I was trying to persuade him. But now Steve is more amenable to doing another one. Yet we still have the issues about the direction we’d like to take. I’m in the future; Steven’s in the past. He’s trying to drag it back to the way they were, I’m trying to push it to a whole different place. So, still we have a sort of tension. This recent one came out of that.

That explains a lot…I think I’m behind Steven Spielburg and NOT Lucas. But thats me…

Johnny Quest Movie

It looks Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is rumored to be in an upcoming Johnny Quest movie…only to assume it would as Race Bannon. His latest flick is Race to Witch Mountain, the new Disney movie coming up in the next year.

4 Remakes Planned

Well it looks like a bunch of remakes are in the works. This past week at Comic Con Tron 2, RoboCop, Red Sonja and Conan have been announced with directors and/or producers.

Darren Aronofsky is directing RoboCop, which I think is a phenominal idea. I loved everything he has done from Requiem for a Dream to Pi to The Fountain.

Disney is being super secretive on anything concerning Tron 2 with the exception of that, yes, they are making it.

Finally Robert Rodriguez, of whom I’m also a fan, has announced that he will at least produce Red Sonja and Conan. I think that if Rodriguez is attached it should be good. Rodriguez has directed and/or produced films such as Desperado, Spy Kids, The Faculty, Planet Terror, From Dusk ’til Dawn and much more.

Boondock Saints 2 [Spoilers! Plot Details]

It’s official! Boondock Saints director has officially announced that he is working on the sequel!

Plot details below!

The Saints and their father Il Duce have been living in seclusion, deep in Ireland when Il Duce’s brother comes to tell them that a priest was murdered in Boston and it was set up to look like it was done by the Saints. They rush back to fixit, while they’re ailing father stays. There’s a new character named Romeo; funny, but much more tough guy. As soon as the brothers land they do what they are good at and start picking off anyone who may be tied to this framing. A female FBI detective comes into play. She wants to catch the Saints and is working with some of the detectives in the first movie. Eventually their father comes back into play and explains what is going on. This shows a full flashback on the start of Il Duce! Sweet!!

Guillermo Del Toro Stayin’ Busy!

It appears that after he releases Hellboy 2, and the two-part The Hobbit movies, he will be chasing a unique version of Mary Shelley’s Frankestein. Knowing his past work it might be good!

Seth Rogen on The Green Hornet!

From the Sci-Fi Wire:

Still, many fans may be left scratching their heads at the notion that the guys who did Superbad are making a Green Hornet movie. Rogen offered this explanation: “To us, it was just this funny notion that, when you say Green Hornet to someone, the first thing they say is, ‘Hey, Bruce Lee played Kato in that show.’ We really wanted to make this hero-sidekick movie. … For years we’d really been trying to write a movie that was kind of about a hero and his sidekick. When we heard the Green Hornet movie was up for grabs, we thought that could be the perfect way to do this story, because he is the only hero whose sidekick is more known than he is. We thought it would be a good way to tell this relationship story and just do a big crazy action movie.”

He expected less trouble getting the action and violence of Green Hornet past the Motion Picture Association of America’s ratings board than he’s had with Kevin Smith’s Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which was recently tagged with the dreaded NC-17.

“Luckily, the MPAA decided that violence is fine,” Rogen said. “When you’re doing an action movie, you can really have as much violence as you want. I’d say, action-wise, we’ve been able to do everything that we could have ever wanted.”

New Joker Scene!
